Many and well-deserved congratulations to Directors Stacy Andrijasevic and Rob Harris and to all the cast and crew of the Guild’s entry into this year’s Maidenhead Drama Festival.
The realisation of this contemporary version of Sophocles’ best loved Theban play, Antigone, was an imaginative interpretation using a minimalist approach, relying on skilful staging and accomplished performance by the all female cast.
Their compelling, emotive and effective piece led them to 3rd place and the Frank Richards Cup, amply demonstrating that Maidenhead Drama Guild has what it takes to create excellent theatre.
Well done to everyone involved –
So how about an all male piece for next year?
